Recycled leather
Recycled and recyclable leather made from 75% hide off-cuts. Biodegradable over 25 years Recycled or re-constituted leather is made using the waste cuttings from hides. The material is crushed, mixed with a bonding agent and dyes before being extruded in sheet form in a limited colour range. Using whole surface glueing techniques, the material can cover any style of folder. The hot-melt adhesive used in this process is made from recycled cows hooves. Recycled leather is a less expensive alternative to using hides. It can be stitched, debossed, foil-blocked and screen printed. The folder is recyclable. |
